Project Overview
The Technology Alliance partnered with economic analysts at Community Attributes to create an interactive, digital report that shows technology’s impact on Washington’s economy. Pulling from major national data sources including Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), the website allowed users to explore tech’s impact both by region and by industry sector. The statistics are complemented by a library of stories that illustrate the people and companies behind the state’s ongoing transformation.
Roll-out, Audience & Visibility
The report was released in September 2017 at the Tech Alliance’s biennial retreat for key state policymakers (state and federal), and business and education leaders. The full roll-out plan reached a broader audience, targeting chambers of commerce, economic development groups, and higher education leaders in communities throughout the state. A full earned media, social media, email and web communications strategy will also accompany this distribution and engagement effort.
